New Video: Kid Koala Flexi Disc Competition

I have recently entered Ninja Tune and Kid Koala's Flexi Disc DJ Battle competition. The rules were to create a routine using sounds purely from the flexi disc included with Kid Koala's new LP, 12bit Blues (Ninja Tune), and to use the flexi disc at least once during the performance. The top 3 most popular videos are judged by a judging panel in early December. In order to vote all you have to do is sign into a YouTube account (Gmail accounts also work) and give the video below a 'thumbs up' on YouTube.

News: DROP's 4th Birthday

Friday 5th October marks my club night DROP's 4th birthday as an event in Leicester. To celebrate I've invited Kidkanevil and Blackwax to headline at Sophbeck Sessions (8-10 King Street Leicester)! It all kicks off at 23:00 and goes on until the VERY early hours!  ​

It's a good representation of what I've been playing out in my more peak time recently (obviously I couldn't play all of these tracks during a warm up set!). News: Bestival!

Last Friday I filled in for Buddy Peace for the Lex Records lineup on the Rizlab stage at Bestival on the Isle of Wight, warming up for JJ DOOM and Boom Bip. It was easily one of my best DJing experiences ever and a true honour! Check out some photos from the gig below! Photos by Hari Datta.

News: 5th in the World!

​That's right! I just placed 5th in the World in the World Online DMC DJ Championships, beating former national DMC champions from the UK, USA, Canada and Italy amongst others.  Congratulations to Fong Fong from France who took the title!

New Video: Baauer Routine

​Here is a routine I used in the DMC UK Battle for Supremacy back in July. It features me cutting up the track 'Yaow' by up and coming producer Baauer.  If the routine isn't your cup of tea you can spend 1 minute and 41 seconds gazing at my fine selection of towels. The routine was filmed by Hari Datta.

The video has been featured on the UHHM blog, who also interviewed me earlier this year.

News: I have qualified for the UK DMC Final 2012

In addition to qualifying for this year's World Online DMC Final, I recently qualified for this year's UK DMC Final by winning their London Heat in May. The UK Final is on Friday 20th July at The Garage in Highbury Corner, London.
