New Music: Opal Drums - Burning Hammer

I’m very excited to share Opal Drums, my new collaborative project with Mux Mool.

Our first single, ‘Burning Hammer’, is out now!

Early support has come from Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 6, Bicep, Sam Binga, Sun People and more!

The origins of Opal Drums go back to 2018, when we first met in Denver through our mutual friend Shiftee who I was touring with at the time. Over the years we became good friends, and in 2022 we decided to get in the studio and quickly created the blueprint for a collaborative project together. Over the last 18 months or so we’ve collaborated regularly in person and online, and have gradually nurtured a project that for us feels truly free from any tempo or sub genre restrictions, as well as exploring narrative and visual concepts of uncertainty with the incredible Future Figures team.

‘Burning Hammer’ is just the first offering from us, and we are excited to share much more in the coming weeks.
