Jon1st could be best described as a 'DJ's DJ': a selector able to simultaneously capture a crowd with his upbeat selection of tracks crossing the alternative bass music spectrum while incorporating technical skills developed in his background as a World-DMC-title-winning-turntablist without breaking the flow of his mixes.

He hosts a monthly podcast on Fly High Radio and his guest mixes have been featured on Ninja Tune's legendary Solid Steel podcast, Serato's Seratocast, Hyponik, Foreign Beggars' Par Excellence podcast, Rita Maia's Sine of The Time show on Resonance FM, Mixology on ControRadio in Italy, Vice's Noisey website and Soundcrash as well as several guest features on NTS including mixes for Kutmah's Sketchbook Radio show, Last Japan and Blackwax's Circadian Rhythms show and You'll Soon Know. He has also recorded promo mixes for Original Cultures and Groovement and recorded official scratch videos for Pioneer DJ and Critical Music.

His turntablist abilities saw him win the 2013 World Online DMC Championship as well as 3rd place in the 2013 World DMC Final and have been praised by established names like DJ Craze, Shortkut, Melo D, DJ Woody, DJ Marky and DJ Vadim.

Jon1st killed it: the best DJ I’ve seen play for ages, and I’ve played with everyone from Diplo, Duck Sauce, Grandmaster Flash, Rev Run, Z-Trip, Craze, Madlib, Just Blaze, Premier, Skream, Bassnectar, Lil Louis Vega, Ali Shaheed Muhamed, Laurent Garnier, Shadow, Flying Lotus, Mary Ann Hobbs, Gilles Peterson...Jon is sick on the decks. He smashed it! One of the best nights out for ages.
— DJ Vadim (Ninja Tune/BBE)
I think it’s very important to give props where they are due and recognise when someone raises the bar. Jon1st’s 2013 DMC routine is one of the most exciting battle routines i’ve seen in perhaps the last 10 years. Meticulous attention to detail, great variety of technique, dope musical choice: a creative and tasteful use of technology and FUNK.
— DJ Woody (ITF/Vestax World Champion)

-He is also resident DJ for Birmingham's Under The Counter collective and London's renowned Soundcrash events.
